Prolly warrior or ele imho, easy to get use to and very versitile, but depends on the campaign and person preference really.

Paragons make good survivors, so that can help with that and not have to be very careful about dying, my paragon went through all the games without dying, never had to leave a group.
Necromancers are good for being versatile. They can be MMs, Nukers, Spikers, Healers, solo farmers. If not caring for survivor, that would be a good choice. Ritualists are also versatile. Seeing how your not interested in PuGs, then don't bother with a monk, as those are basically good to get into PuG groups and with h/h, 2 monks with a semi-supporter does fine. In short, For Suvivor: Paragon For Versatility: Necromancer or Ritualist Not to choose: Monk thats imo of course. |

When in doubt, go uber high damage, H/H can't do crap except heal IMO.

Pick the class you enjoy the most. Monk is possibly hardest for hero+hench depending on your play style. As a healer/protector, you won't be in combat much. This means you have to know how to call targets, which isn't easy to do when trying to target your team for heals. But since you will be playing with NPCs instead of people, pick something you enjoy, or you will hate doing it, and give up.

I have played all 10 classes thru prophecies, and the best hero/hench leaders were:
Ranger Paragon Warrior I prefer ranger for title hunting because it has the best run skills imo (this is only my play style tho...i like to over aggro, rush, take out as many mobs with me as i can as fast as i can) |
